Networking Compton to Reach Youth

In October I met Danny Pyon at a SoCal Network Summit. After finishing a doctorate on global urban youth culture, God placed on his heart a burden for the Crips and the Bloods. So, he moved to Compton two years ago.
His organization partners with institutions to reach teenagers in wholistic ministry. For instance, he approached Best Buy to give a $10 gift card to any “A” that a student received. He also has a vision for setting up church plants in prisons and juvenile halls. He wants to see teenagers ministering to prisoners.
I was encouraged and challenged as I listened to him share his passion to bring together one of the most gang-saturated areas in the nation. Here is his story.
