Happily married to Sandy for 50+ years. Two adult married sons, and twelve grandchildren. Have served in full-time youth ministry in Houston, since 1970. Mostly with incarcerated delinquent youth, but for the last 19 years, have focused on trying to connect local churches to reach more lost youth in their community and schools. Have served with Camp Peniel, Youth For Christ, Cross in the City, and now with the Youthworkers Support Network (TheNet). Have studied at Dallas Bible College, served in the US Army, and have degrees from the University of Houston, focusing on personnel, technology, and nonprofit management. Enjoy serving in partnerships with several city-wide coalitions. While continuing to serve as Greater Houston's NNYM metro rep, I am eager to help connect efforts to reach more locked-up youth, across our country, through NNYM's Juvenile Justice Ministry Networks.

I'm privileged to be co-founder of See You At the Pole. Our ninth grade group when I served at Crestmont Baptist in Burleson Tx was the inspiration for the event. It's amazing to see how God has used and multiplied SYATP through the years. I'm grateful for National Network for their continued support for it. I love empowering students and those who influence students. 2 Tim 2:2 is my goal.

It has been an amazing privilege to serve in youth ministry and as a pastor for a little over four decades and for the past ten years as the NNYM Regional Coordinator in New England. In 2017 I began serving the Network as the Nat'l Prayer Coordinator. I feel an urgent calling to focus on developing passionate and strategic prayer partnerships and build the disciplines of prayer and fasting into the "Core DNA" of the Network. I also truly believe that the key to the Harvest is the WORKER (Matthew 9:37) as Jesus said, so anything I can do to support, encourage, and equip more youth workers is where my heart is at! I love to consult with churches and help them develop dynamic youth ministry programs. I am blessed to have a great wife, DJ, two adult children, and six amazing grand kids. DJ and I recently moved to North Mrytle Beach, SC.

With a degree in Secondary Ed. I left rural Colorado to join Cru Staff and begin a ministry with High School students in So. Calif, at schools that were 3 x's the size of my home town. After 7 years with Cru that included a move to Seattle, marriage and our first daughter a job change took me to the local church. Where more pragmatic experience and academic education were added to my resume. While serving at Highlands Community Church as Youth and Young Adult pastor (23+ yrs) I also volunteered as the second NW Regional Coordinator with NNYM. [Networking became part of my DNA while in High School, in a town without any paid youth leaders and less than 150 students in the High School, we were blessed with a caring mom who taught a Sunday morning class that I would personally attend, in another church, after going to church with my family. On Saturday evenings 20+/- students from 5 different churches gathered in a rotating home for a student led bible study. Those times helped plant the seeds that eventually bore the fruit of several students getting involved with college ministries and ultimately into vocational ministry.] My years with Cru and tenure as a youth pastor have shown me that God is at work in various ways & contexts. Having experience and a heart for students in public schools, I have found great value in building strategic relationships with both students and faculty. Interested students find opportunity to learn about faith matters and once nurtured in a Christ centered faith can become life long workers in God's mission field. I was blessed to attend the first gathering of youth leaders who met at the Christ Haven retreat center outside of Woodland Park Colorado, this growing group eventually became N.N.Y.M. So it's an honor to carry forth the mission of God in the context of N.N.Y.M. here in the N.W. Region. It is a joy to work alongside men, women & students here in the NW as we become Better Together in making a difference in young lives for both the present and eternity to come. If we can join together with you for encouragement, training, resources, etc. please make contact and let's see what God might do through us all working together.
